Phil Laak Launches Unabomber.com on Cake Network

January 29, 2010

unabomberpoker logoAs the Cake Poker Network is growing in popularity they are getting more and more people to open online poker rooms on their network. Just recently they got an addition of 8 new poker rooms that joined the network.

Below is a list of the 8 new poker rooms that have decided to join the Cake Network:

7WinPoker, RedBackPoker, AmsterdamsPoker, SafariCasino, R2RPoker, BurroPoker, DimeLineSports and UnaBomberPoker.

The most interesting addition out of these 8 sites must be UnabomberPoker.com that is owned by no other than high stakes gambler Phil “Unabomber” Laak. Phil is going to be a regular at the poker tables at UnabomberPoker and he is also going to post on his blog on the site. What makes UnabomberPoker.com unique on the Cake Network is that their players will be able to win special prizes, one of them being a place in one of Phil Laak’s private homegames.

We knew that we wanted to create the sickest poker site on the planet. By joining a network who reward their players and accept players from all over the world we knew we were heading in the right direction. I love the fact that I’m on this project from the start and I am regularly blogging at UnabomberPoker.com/blog, said Laak.

T.J. Cloutier’s WSOP Bracelet Sold to Cake Poker

January 28, 2010

cakepokerlogoLast week we wrote the story about T.J. Cloutier selling one of his WSOP bracelets on eBay. Now the auction have come to an end and the new owner of the bracelet is the Cake Poker Network who won the auction after placing the winning bid of $4006.

It is still not known what the Cake Poker Network are planning to do with this bracelet but it’s probably not too far fetched to believe that they are planning to have some special promotions coming up involving this bracelet.

It will be interesting to see if T.J. Cloutier will be putting up some more items of his for sale anytime soon since the $4006 probably doesn’t last very long for a Craps degenerate.

Holdem Manager Updated to Support Rush Poker

January 26, 2010

fulltiltpokerlogoAfter a week of long working hours the programming team behind the online poker tool Holdem Manager have managed to work out an update that will make their software compatible with the Rush Poker tables at Full Tilt Poker. Instead of using a heads-up display the players will now be getting their stats sent to their players notes when playing Rush Poker.

With the new poker variant Rush Poker at Full Tilt there are new tables and players all the time and you can play as many as 300 hands per hour and table. At the launch of Rush Poker there were no poker tools that were compatible with this type of poker, until now that is.

The Holdem Manager team are the first ones to present a poker tracking software that is compatible with Rush Poker.

“Due to the structure of Full Tilt Poker’s Rush Poker tables we have not been able to get the stats to the players using a traditional heads-up display. Instead we have designed a tool that will send the database with the statistics directly to the players player notes”.

If you have not yet tried out the phenomenon that is Rush Poker then we suggest you head on over to Full Tilt Poker and try it out. And don’t forget to enter the Full Tilt referral code PRULESNET when you sign up as it will give you a 100% bonus up to $600.

Online Sportsbook TitanBet.com Launched

January 26, 2010

titanbetFirst came the online poker room Titan Poker back in 2005 when they joined the PlayTech powered iPoker Network. After that we got to see the launch of the brand new PlayTech powered Titan Casino last year. Now they are taking it a step further and launching an online sportsbook that will go under the name of TitanBet.com. All that’s missing under the Titan umbrella now is a bingo site and they will have the full gambling portfolio completed.

To attract new customers to TitanBet they are now offering a very generous sports betting bonus of 100% up to $250. This means that a first deposit of $250 will give you a $500 bankroll to use in their brand new sportsbook.

A very nice feature at the Titan Bet sportsbook is the live betting platform where you can bet on matches as they are being played. This is very good if you should happen to miss the start of a game but still want to place a bet.

It should be said that the Titan Bet sportsbook is still in BETA testing but so far we have not heard any reports about bugs or other problems. The people who have been trying out this sportsbook have been more than pleased with the odds and customer service offered.

If you already have an account at Titan Poker then you don’t have to create a new account in order to get access to Titan Bet as you can use the same wallet to play at both places.

For those of you who have yet to create an account you can click this link to get straight to the TitanBet website where you can claim your free $250 bonus. If you are looking for a TitanBet bonus code you will have to wait until next month when the good people at Titan are revamping their bonus system.

Last Man Standing WSOP Seat Promo at Titan Poker

January 24, 2010

Titan Poker, which has become one of the biggest online poker rooms in Europe over the last few years, has introduced a new promotion that will launch the first of February 2010. The Last Man Standing promo will allow all Titan Poker players equal opportunity to win one seat at the 2010 WSOP that will take place this July.

The $13K prize package will include the $10K buy-in, airplane ticket, and hotel accommodations. To qualify to be the “last man standing,” you’ll need to generate at least 7,500 Titan Poker Points per day playing online cash poker games and tourneys online at Titan Poker. As long as you continuously meet this mark every day, you’ll stay in the running. When you miss the mark, you’re out, and so is everyone else who fails to earn 7,500 Titan Poker Points each and every day, until there is one player who has. This requirement is for all players across all 6 VIP groups.

Other cash prizes are also set to be given out, based on daily points earned and VIP levels. For all six levels (all players) who earn 1,200 Titan Points every day, a $5,000 cash prize will be awarded. For the first five VIP levels, Bronze through Titanium, there is a $2,500 prize for the last man standing who earns 800 Titan Points every day. For Bronze to Platinum (first four levels), the last player standing to earn 450 points every day will win a $1,000 prize. For the first three levels, Bronze through Gold, earn 250 points every day to be the last man standing and win the $500 cash prize. For Bronze and Silver players, earn 100 every day and win the $250 prize. And finally, the Bronze level player who lasts the longest with 20 Titan Poker every day, will get $100 in cash.

Also, if you are still standing on February 28, you’ll get a special invitation to the $5,000 Freeroll.

In order to be eligible, you must have a registered account at Titan Poker before February 1, as players will be grouped according to their VIP levels beginning on that day.

Comeback for Phil Hellmuth?

January 22, 2010

philhellmuthjrLast week, PartyPoker and Matchroom Sport announced that 11-bracelet WSOP winner, Phil Hellmuth, has signed up for PartyPoker’s Premier League IV in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event will take place February 12th through 18th, 2010. Alongside Hellmuth will be Yevgeniy Timoshenko and defending champ, JC Tran.

Hellmuth says of the event, “I am looking forward to playing in the Premier League and starting the new decade off on the right note! After being points leader in the Premier League in 2006, 2007, and 2008 I was relegated, and it is time to step up and claim a title!”

Sixteen lucky players who qualified for a chance to play in the league will participate in a preliminary Premier League Poker playoff, and one of these players will advance to compete against the 11 professional poker players the main event. These playoffs will consist of a short series of sit & go’s with the winner receiving the $100K buy-in to the Premier League IV event. Both preliminary and main events will be aired on television. In addition, one of the 16 qualifying players will be selected by PartyPoker to receive a $100K Team Party contract. To qualify via a country-specific qualifier, check in the specials tab of the PartyPoker lobby.

The PartyPoker’s Premier League III champion was JC Tran, considered one of the world’s finest tournament players in the poker circuit. He took home $300K as a result of his win after he and 11 other of the world’s best poker players battled it out for the $1.25 million prize pool. Other final table players from last year included Peter Eastgate, Roland de Wolfe, Juha Helppi, Tony G, and Tom “durrrr” Dwan. This year, the prize pool will reach an unprecedented $1.5 million. Perhaps Hellmuth will start the decade off right and make a comeback from his less- than-average performance of 2009.

Other former Premier League champs include Andy Black (Premier League II) and Juha Helppi (Premier League I).

Rush Poker Introduced at Full Tilt

January 20, 2010

fulltiltpokerlogoThe major online poker room Full Tilt Poker have recently launched a whole new concept when it comes to playing poker online. This concept is called Rush Poker and it’s a dream come true for all of you action junkies out there who can’t stand to wait for the action to get to you.

The idea behind Rush Poker is to offer as much action to the players as possible and not make them wait for a new hand all the time. The players sitting at a Rush Poker table are part of a player pool and your placement at the table is randomly selected. Every time you fold a hand you will be taken directly to a new table where it is your turn to act again. By doing this the waiting time between hands played is completely eliminated. You are basically always in the action when playing Rush Poker.

So far the response from the players that have been playing Rush Poker has been very positive and some say it’s even a bit addictive due to the massive action at the tables.

If you do not yet have an account at FullTilt but would like to see what this Rush Poker hype is all about then we suggest you enter the Full Tilt Poker referral code PRULESNET when creating your account. This poker bonus code will give you up to $600 for free when making your first deposit.
