Tournaments Downtime at Cake Poker

September 10, 2009

The poker players at Cake Poker have been experience a lot of disconnections and have been problems playing in tournaments at Cake Poker. After a while it got to the point where the players were not even able to access their accounts. In order to rectify this situation the people at Cake Poker have decided to stop running all tournaments.

It is still unknown when the tournaments at Cake Poker will be available again but we have been told that they will not re-launch them before the problem has been 100% fixed.

Cake Poker have made an announcement and promised the players that their funds and player information is safe and that no third party has been accessing their information.

The most likely scenario is that all the buy-ins for tournaments will be refunded to the players accounts and the players will also be compensated with some sort of poker bonus.

According to the mangement at Cake Poker it will take a couple of working days to sort out the current issues and they will release an official statement when the problem is solved and the tournaments are back up and running. Until the problem has been sorted the players at Cake Poker will only be able to play cash games as they are still running smoothly.

If you have yet to create an account at Cake Poker now is probably the best time as you can get 33% Cake Poker rakeback plus a $500 signup bonus.

I am one of the players affected by this issue at Cake Poker but hopefully we will all be refunded for tournaments that we were not able to complete. Usually the people at Cake Poker are very good with customer support and taking care of their players and I have faith that they will do so this time as well.

Pity I didn’t know about the possibility of getting rakeback at Cake Poker before btw…. would have made me a couple of extra bucks a month, lol.
