Clearing your bonus

As you will know, when you make your first deposit the bonus money is stored away in your bonus account. The money cannot be played with or withdrew until you have earned the specific amount of poker points needed from playing at real money tables. At Absolute Poker, the amount of points you need to earn solely depends on your VIP Level. Per $1 of your bonus you will require:

Bronze – 20 Status Points
Silver – 20 Status Points
Gold – 20 Status Points
Platinum VIP – 18 Status Points
Diamond Elite – 17 Status Points

The bonus is released into your account in increments of $5, so if you are a Bronze player you will need to earn 100 Status points before any money is added to your account. You cannot release your bonus at the Blackjack tables, as you will not earn any points towards your bonus.

How the Status points system works

As we have mentioned, to earn these Status points you must participate in real money hands at cash game tables or enter real money tournaments with a buy-in. The amount of points you earn depends on the amount of raked hands you play and the limits at which you play at. You can earn 1 Status point per 20 raked hands at the $0.01/$0.02 tables and 2 Status per 1 raked hand at the $500/$1000 tables. A raked hand is defined as a hand in which any amount of rake has been taken and you have contributed to the pot.

Spending your points

After earning all those points to clear your bonus, wouldn’t it be a waste to let them sit there gathering dust? Fortunately, Absolute Poker allows players the chance to spend their points in a variety of different ways. They can head over to the loyalty shop and purchase items such as laptops, iPods and clothing. Or they can enter tournaments using those points to try and earn more cash or even change them directly into cash up to a maximum $1,000.
